Poetry Recording Instructions

1) The first thing you need for an audio recording is a microphone. Depending on your computer, you may

have one already built-in. If you do not, you can purchase one for a very small price at various (online) stores.

2) Now it’s time to record your poem. If you have a PC, your computer should have a program called

‘Sound Recorder’ built in. This program allows you to record sound, but it has little to no functionality, so you

cannot edit your recording.

If you want more freedom with recording, download “Audacity” for free, for both Windows and Mac:

3) Once you are done recording and have saved your audio file, E-mail it to submitpoetry@berkeleypoets.com
